• Prefer walking to auto rickshaws, rent cycles if possible. Rickshaws are a major source of vehicular pollution in this booming town.
• Use plastics sensibly, there is a lack of recycling capabilities.
• Do respect the special instructions issued by the Government at places and follow them.
• Take care of your belongings at all times and do not tempt robbers

Don'ts

• Do not throw litter at all places, do it at only designated places.
• Do not scar the monuments and follow the instructions, notes and warnings.
• Do not interrupt the natural habitants - monkeys, birds, etc ...
• Do not smoke or consume drugs in the premises of any holy place.
• Being a holy city, alcohol is banned in Hampi. Please do not try to consume alcohol while in the vicinity and respect the law.
• The law in Hampi prohibits preparing and serving non-vegetarian foods. Respect the holiness of the city.
